In the increasingly pressured programme of the normal school day, such activities tend to get squeezed out and the creative urge is frustrated.

That’s where Arts Play takes centre-stage! As a result of the lack of teaching-time in schools dedicated to the arts and the important role he believes it plays in everybody’s day to day life broadcaster, composer, director and teacher Chris de Souza has set up Arts Play.

“I set this up for fun. It’s a family organisation. Run, arranged and thought up by my family and I with only two words in mind - arts and play! When the two are combined you get Arts Play, a new and original company dedicated to providing children with the character creating, empathy encouraging, personality producing and confidence catching gift of the arts.”
